Traditional acupuncture is a system of complementary medicine which has been used for thousands of years to restore, promote and maintain good health.

Acupuncture is the insertion of very fine needles into specific sites on the body. Acupuncture helps to relieve pain, release muscular motor points, and stimulates the central nervous system, signaling the body to release various substances including endorphins, immune system cells, opioids, neurotransmitters, and neurohormones.


Facial Acupuncture

This cosmetic treatment is an extension of traditional acupuncture. It’s said to naturally help make the skin look younger, smoother, and all-around healthier. And unlike injection procedures, facial acupuncture addresses not only signs of aging, but also the skin’s overall health.

Light Emitting Diode (LED) phototherapy is the application of light energy to tissue to obtain therapeutic benefits. The energy is used to improve cellular performance. Phototherapy is known for its healing and anti-inflammatory properties and has a variety of applications across many medical fields. Research has shown that phototherapy can: increase circulation, accelerate tissue repair, decrease wrinkles, decrease inflammation, improve skin tone and wrinkles, texture and clarity, ease muscle and joint pain, stiffness, spasm and arthritis and kill acne bacteria, and much more. In dermatology, LED therapy has beneficial effects on wrinkles, acne scars, hypertrophic scars, and healing of burns. LED therapy can reduce UV damage both as a treatment and as a prophylaxis.

Carly received her Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from Dongguk University Los Angeles in 2017. She is a Nationally Certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and holds state licenses to practice Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine in both Alaska and California. She holds certifications in Advanced Constitutional Facial Acupuncture and is trained in Community Trauma Field Work through Acupuncturists Without Borders.
